This 21-song collection should be a killer disc, highlighted not only by six classic sides from the original Unrelated Segments, which existed through 1967, but six songs from their Detroit compatriots, the Tidal Waves. Unfortunately, it also includes further tracks by the reconfigured group circa 1969, and five additional songs by Ron Stults from his early post-1969 solo career, and the latter, alas, along with the later Segments songs, detract from the overall value.

I was totally digging what I'm hearing here - as with the single cut by The Boys, as well as the eight rocking tracks by the off-the radar band Unrelated Segments, The Lykes Of Us with their contribution of four songs, the District Six three cuts - including a well-played Love cover "7 And 7 Is", six tunes from the Tidal Waves. I am not just discovering the Unrelated Segments. These guys are part of the soundtrack of my childhood. Their records were top ten on WKNR and EVERYBODY I knew had that HBR single of Farmer John. The Segments were from my hometown of Taylor Michigan. They made great singles and to my mind were neck and neck with Bob Seger and the Last Heard.
