Bruce Dickinson also proves his abilities as a songwriter on the album, with the music sufficiently bringing out the dark feelings with an equally dark album concept that lies beneath the album, and penning music that suits the various emotions of the various songs. For example, the title track Chemical Wedding has a somewhat sad and melancholic melody to it, fitting to the lyrics on the song, while Killing Floor has a respective aggressive sound to it, and it is on this track where Bruce Dickinson attempts a pseudo-growl, adding to the fierceness to the song.

Chemical Wedding (released in the . as Crowley) is a British supernatural science fiction horror film produced by Bill&Ben Productions in conjunction with the London-based Focus Films. It is directed by Julian Doyle. The story is based on an original screenplay by Bruce Dickinson, frontman of heavy metal band Iron Maiden. Dickinson released a solo album entitled The Chemical Wedding in 1998, which, despite sharing the title and title track from the film's soundtrack, is otherwise unrelated.
About The Chemical Wedding. Bruce Dickinson’s fifth solo album was inspired by the works of the English poet/painter William Blake. The album cover art was taken from his painting The Ghost of a Flea and the album constantly references his poems. The album is unrepentantly, totally heavy. From start to finish. This one’s totally about alchemy. This one is about alchemy and specifically the poetry of William Blake which is very much based on the philosophy of alchemy.
Despite his solo career, Bruce Dickinson has always and always will be known as the singer of Iron Maiden. Even though his solo career never elevated to heights that Maiden reached, Dickinson is a force to be reckoned with. Released the same month, Dickinson returned with his strongest and most impressive album to date, entitled 'The Chemical Wedding'. First thing you notice about this album is, it's heavier than anything he's ever released before. Both Adrian and guitarist Roy Z, used bass guitar strings which had a profound effect on the album's sound.
