Other various artists follow suit, with sound clips from the game (such as Loaded's "Fatality"). Eventually, a few larger name groups do emerge through the semi-unknown nature of the album. Brazilian rockers Sepultura provide a rather heavy number, and Crystal Method and Juno Reactor both provide techno tracks to finish off the album. Overall, a nice high energy techno album. There are a couple of less catchy spots (Crawlspace), but for the most part it's a jumpin album.

As pieces of cinema, "Mortal Kombat" and its sequel "Mortal Kombat: Annihilation" take everything from the video game series (except for the blood, gore, and guts) and turn them into two action-packed movies that people might still enjoy even if they don't enjoy the games. As visually spectacular as the fight scenes are, so too is some of the music that accompanies them: such items as "Control" by Traci Lords, heard during Liu Kang's battle with Reptile. MORTAL KOMBAT! I still have the original cassette version, but decided it was time to get the CD version. It's an excellent album of heavy metal, techno and epic battle scores. I like every inch of it and I'm glad to have never rid myself of it. I especially like the orchestral scores and the song "Burn. It's an awesome time for anyone interested in battle/heavy metal rock music. One person found this helpful.

Most of the songs featured there are actually not played during the movie, yet it pictures the fighting spirit of "Mortal Kombat" thanks to these dark techno, metal and industrial rockin' tunes."Come2gether" from The Crystal Method is exclusive to this soundtrack, therefore it's a gem for fans of this group like me. "Oxyacetylene" also has such a pumpin' vibe that will make you jumpin' !As an electronic head, I prefer the soundtrack from the following film "MK: Annihilation", but this one ain't boring at all too.More Kombat ? No… but more music like this, I say YES.
