Weary and Wired is the second album by guitarist and singer-songwriter Marc Ford. The album was released on March 27, 2007 on the Blues Bureau International label. All songs written by Marc Ford, except as indicated. Featherweight Dreamland – 3:17. Don't Come Around – 3:43. It'll Be Over Soon – 3:07. The Other Side (Ryan Bingham) – 2:53. 1000 Ways (Marc Ford, Elijah Ford) – 4:04. Smoke Signals (Marc Ford, Luther Russell) – 8:26. Greazy Chicken – 6:01.

The ex-Black Crowes guitarist's first solo album in five years is far more wired than weary, which is certainly a good thing. Rejoining musicians from his pre-Crows years in the band Burning Tree (bassist Mark "Muddy" Dutton and drummer Doni Gray), Ford strips down to a basic trio format, although one loose enough to allow horns, keyboards, and background singers to flesh out the sound as needed. Ford generally discards the country that informed his first disc for a deceptively simple, bluesy rocking attack that growls and roars

Saxophone – Aaron West. Trumpet – Will Artope. Written-By – Elijah Ford (tracks: 6), Luther Russell (tracks: 7), Marc Ford (tracks: 1, to 4, 6, to 11, 13 to 15), Ryan Bingham (tracks: 5), Willie Dixon (tracks: 12). Notes. Label Code: LC 03090.

Ex-Black Crowes guitarslinger Marc Ford's second solo album literally sounds like a classic. With its conflagrant riffing, big six-string tones, blues bedrock, and tunes that swing from soulful pop ballads like "The Other Side" to grinders like "Don't Come Around," the disc recalls a time in the '60s when groups like the MC5 and Humble Pie were at rock's creative apex.
