Fantastic atmospheric album. Soundtrack to unknown film about Paris. Malcolm McLaren sometimes is declamating and reciting, sometimes is singing poetry about Paris. Music is a mix of relaxing jazz, pop music, ethinc, French chanson, electronic ambient, spoken word. If you are not the fan of Malcolm's voice - probably you'll like the music, the atmosphere, the mood the album. It has nothing to do with The Sex Pistols.
Malcolm McLaren - 22 January 1946 – 8 April 2010 Malcolm McLaren first came to prominence as the notorious manager. This is a tribute page to the remarkable talent of "malcolm mclaren" and in particular the amazing "Paris" album. Every once in a while a musical masterpiece is created and "Paris" is no exception. Its moods, its atmosphere, its ability to make ones mind drift away. As one friend put IT, music with style!
Malcolm McLaren has never been a musician, at least never in any accepted sense of the word. Rather, he's a self-promoter. Even when he was managing the Sex Pistols, most of his press conferences concentrated on what a great scam he had come up with, not the music itself.
I feel love, Paris Paris Love to love, Paris Paris Feelings so close to my heart . I feel love, Paris Paris Love to love, Paris Paris Feelings so close to my heart. Un zeste de Javanaise, un tour de Moulin Rouge et deux de Notre-Dame Nappé de macadam, décoré d'un chaland D'Anvers ou d'Amsterdam un canal, Arletty. Oh Baby, just hold this lonely fan and hear him say Don't let me turn to sand and blow away Though this crowded desert called Paris Sans doute la seule femme qui pouvait dire "Paname".
